Festivals

Latvia Puppet Theatre participates in various festivals, bringing home awards for productions, puppets, acting skills and puppetry techniques. The romantic dolls designed by sculptor Anna Nollendorfa won a silver medal at the World's Fair in Brussels already in the late 1940s. 

The theatre has toured in Japan, Canada, France, Sweden, Finland, Sri Lanka, Iraq, Poland, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Estonia, Russia, and many other countries worldwide.

Throughout its history, the theatre has hosted two international festivals. In 1986, Riga welcomed the 7th Festival of Puppet Theatres of the Baltic States and the Byelorussian SSR. In 1999, the 9th Baltic Sea States Festival took place, featuring puppet theatres from Finland, Denmark, Russia, and Sweden.
