About the performance
Doggo is a city dog. He is used to walking his familiar routes several times a day, reading the messages left by other city dogs, greeting the neighbours, chasing pigeons and sniffing familiar scents.
One day, however, his life is turned upside down when his owners decide to take Doggo to the countryside – where, they promise, there will be freedom, new friends and tasty bones. Yet upon arriving in this promised land, he discovers that everything tastes and smells different, everyone speaks differently, and even friendships work differently.
This performance for children aged four and up is created in Latvian and Latgalian and is based on the comic "Sunāns breiveibā" by Laura Melne and Vivianna Maria Stanislavska. Ir reveals how Doggo from Riga gets along in the Latgale countryside.
