Her grey curls fall a little coquettishly across her forehead. The corners of her lips seem to tighten ever so slightly into a smile. She sits there in her chair and waits. At times, years and memories collapse into a single heap, then gather again into a tangled ball, drifting in from every corner of the house like dust. She waits… For what? For someone to open a door or a window, for a word to be spoken, for a touch, even for a careless glance. You can stop eating sweets, give up smoking, cure the flu with medicine prescribed by a doctor. But what is the cure for loneliness?
Go somewhere where you will not be alone? But does not being alone mean the same as not being lonely? And what do you do if you are alone, lonely, and on top of that, clumsy and slow? All that remains is to wait. But for what?
