About the performance
Premiere: 16.11.2024.
Language: Lithuanian, with English subtitles
Genre: Puppet performance
The performance delves into King Lear’s personality and his (in)ability to love and listen to his daughters. Using the expressive means of puppet theatre, a surreal, dreamlike space is created, shaped by betrayal and alienation, raising questions about the possibility of love in a world distorted by self-interest. Even 460 years after its creation, King Lear remains relevant, inviting audiences to reflect on fundamental questions in the context of today’s societal challenges.
