In 2000, the first sex toy shop opened in Bethlehem existed for only one day – everyone except the customers came by, from a priest to a Palestinian policeman and the Israeli army. This true event is the starting point of an object theatre performance in which sex toys become protagonists in a story about Palestinian issues: imposed national identities, occupation, history’s false heroes, and the creator’s own attempt to tell this story “correctly”.
